Fear of possible gang violence is the reason cited by Boston schools Supt. Laval S. Wilson for sending his 16-year-old daughter, Nicole, to a public school outside the city. Wilson said the girl saw youths putting a bomb in a locker at her school. He said he and his wife decided on the change after studying the case during the summer. Some parent activists in Boston said they sympathize with Wilson’s concerns but questioned why he did not send his daughter to another Boston high school.
