Louganis Should Have Been at Top of Screen

NBC’s coverage of the Seoul Games had been great up until Monday night when it elected to show the United States playing Canada in men’s basketball. In the meantime, one of the greatest individual sports accomplishments was being achieved by Greg Louganis, who won the gold medal after hitting his head on the springboard.

While Louganis proceeded with one spectacular dive after another, NBC merely showed it at the bottom of the screen, without any commentary on Louganis’ remarkable achievement. Surely, he deserved top billing.
