George P. Johnson has been appointed to the new position of chief operating officer and vice president of MDB Systems in Orange. Previously, Johnson headed his own management consulting firm, of which MDB was a client. Before that, he was president of Isles Industries, a subsidiary of Kidde Inc. He has also held positions with Nicholson & Co., Nielsen Molding Corp. and Sprague-Hathaway Co. MDB Systems designs and manufactures computer systems and subsystems and a line of add-on computer products.
