Kenneth E. Rappoport and Stuart J. Marylander...

Kenneth E. Rappoport and Stuart J. Marylander were named vice chairmen of Nu-Med, an Encino operator of hospitals and other health-care facilities. Nu-Med previously had only one vice chairman, and the post had been vacant since 1986.

Rappoport, 53, will retain his present posts as Nu-Med’s president and chief operating officer. He has been with Nu-Med’s management since 1969.

Marylander, 56, has been chief executive of Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for the past 18 years. He is scheduled to retire from Cedars Sinai at year’s end, after which he will assume his Nu-Med duties full-time.
