Mattel Toys, Hawthorne, has named Joseph S. Whitaker senior vice president-marketing, responsible for overall strategic direction of marketing for the company’s boys toys brands. Whitaker rejoins Mattel after three years as president of Lorimar Telepictures Licensing Co.
