Emperor Hirohito received blood transfusions for the seventh straight day, bringing to about 7.7 pints the amount he has received since internal hemorrhaging caused him to vomit blood Sept. 19. Palace spokesmen said his condition remained serious but stable. A Japanese government spokesman said the 87-year-old emperor wants Japan to resume normal social and economic activities.
