Israel’s Use of Detention

Thank you for your editorial. You restored my faith in our country and countrymen.

For the past nine months, we watched or read about World War II-style atrocities committed by the Israelis in the West Bank and Gaza. When I couldn’t see protest by the media I began to think that we might have lost our conscious. Your editorial proved me happily wrong.

It is the responsibility of every human being to protest human rights violations regardless of where they were committed or by whom. We must not forget the lessons of World War II.
