Rebels Damage Vital Pipeline in Colombia

BOGOTA, Colombia —
Left-wing guerrillas have blown up a vital oil pipeline in northern Colombia for the 49th time this year, authorities said Sunday.
They said the pipeline was attacked overnight Friday and spilled about 3,000 barrels of oil.
The attack was attributed to pro-Cuban National Liberation Army guerrillas, who demand nationalization of the oil industry.
