Las Vegas police Wednesday arrested a San Francisco-area cab driver after he allegedly tried to hire two undercover police officers posing as hit men to kill four people.

Police said Ronald Fishman, 33, of Berkeley was arrested on charges of solicitation for murder after he allegedly contacted an acquaintance in Las Vegas about the possibility of hiring two people to carry out four murders-for-hire. Fishman’s acquaintance, whose name is not being released, contacted police who, in turn, set up a sting operation.

The intended victims were Fishman’s brother and the brother’s girlfriend, who live in the Bay Area, and a Las Vegas couple, who used to be friends with Fishman.
