U.S.-Vietnamese teams found the remains of an unspecified number of Americans missing from the Vietnam War during a 10-day search. The Joint Casualty Resolution Center said in Bangkok, Thailand, that the remains, found north and southeast of the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi, had not yet been identified. Experts from the center and the U.S. Army Central Identification Laboratory, aided by Vietnamese officials and volunteers, took part in the first joint search since 1985. There are about 2,400 Americans listed as missing in action from the Vietnam War.
