Two Palestinians were reported killed and 10 wounded as a general strike to protest Jewish settlements shut down the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip. Near the West Bank village of Beit Ummar, an Israeli police car crashed into another car, killing two Arabs and injuring one, Israel Radio said. The incident was caused by oil spread by Palestinians to force cars off the road during the strike, the radio said. In four separate clashes in the West Bank, five Palestinians, including a 10-year-old boy, were wounded when Israeli troops fired on stone throwers, hospital officials said. In the Gaza Strip, five other Palestinians were reported wounded, four by plastic bullets.
