Three radical Palestinian guerrilla groups Sunday fiercely condemned the weekend meeting of Egyptian, Jordanian and Palestinian leaders in Aqaba, Jordan.

The pro-Syrian groups, in separate statements, said Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, King Hussein of Jordan and Palestine Liberation Organization Chairman Yasser Arafat were working to crush the uprising in the Israeli-occupied territories.

The statements were issued by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command and the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front.

“While the Zionist entity is trying to stop the uprising with all savage means, some Arab regimes are trying to divert and stop this uprising,” George Habash, leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said.

“Several regimes, especially the Camp David regime (Egypt) and King Hussein’s regime, fear the expansion of the uprising to their states so they are working secretly and publicly to crush it.”

Habash, who still works with Arafat within the executive committee and other PLO bodies, added: “We are confident that our people inside (the occupied territories) will not allow this conspiracy or any other conspiracies to succeed.”
