U.S. Refuses Aid to Nicaragua
“Thanks for Nothing” indeed. The Times editorial (Nov. 1) regarding U.S. officials obstructing relief efforts for hurricane-torn Nicaragua points to the meanness of this Administration. Interesting that we can smuggle war equipment across the borders to attempt to overthrow an elected government but not get food and other life-saving supplies to this poor country.
Is this what George Bush means when he talks of a kinder and gentler America?
