Players International Reports $26,700 in 2nd-Quarter Profit

Players International said it earned $26,700, or 1 cent a share, in the second quarter that ended Sept. 30, compared to a profit of $14,100 a year earlier. Revenue rose 46% from a year earlier, to $2.8 million.

Players International is a Calabasas company that operates Players Club, a membership club providing discounts to visitors of gambling resorts. In the six-month period ended Sept. 30, the firm earned $78,100, or 1 cent a share, compared to $58,100 a year earlier. Revenue increased 47% to $5.5 million.
