‘Genocide as a Political Science’
As an educated Pakistani, it appears highly ironic to me that while we are being asked never to forget the heinous atrocities of Kristallnacht and the anguish visited on Jews by Hitler, Israeli soldiers are daily demolishing the homes of Palestinian civilians. In both cases, those whose homes and lives were targeted are shopkeepers and business owners. Will history similarly record the Palestinian tragedy? Or will we sadly echo W.H. Auden when he said “. . . Those to whom evil is done, do evil in return.”
