The Lazers, who beat the Tacoma Stars here last Saturday, are in Tacoma for a Major Indoor Soccer League rematch tonight at 7:30.

Tacoma (0-4) holds a 21-11 series edge over the Lazers, including a 12-4 advantage at the Tacoma Dome. It won 6 of 8 meetings last season.

“When you don’t get goals you don’t win games,” Tacoma Coach Alan Hinton said after the Lazers’ 3-1 victory Saturday at the Forum. “One goal is not going to win many games.”

The Lazers (3-1) haven’t done particularly well offensively either, scoring only 15 goals--5 by Gary Heale--this season. However, they have the best defense in the league, having allowed just 10 goals. Goalkeeper Jim Gorsek has a league-leading 1.33 goals-against average.

The Lazers also have the best defense against the power play, having shut out their opponents in 15 attempts. The Baltimore Blast holds the league record, keeping their opponents scoreless in 17 consecutive power-play attempts during the 1986-87 season.
