Screaming at Sam

I agree it’s important to find humor in everything, but humor is supposed to be a social sanction against rigid behavior and thinking. It is not supposed to be a hate-mongering assault on anyone different from you.

To actually stand behind the statement that gays “caused” AIDS is beyond irresponsible; it is inflammatory, destructive and just plain incorrect.

And by the way, Sam, heterosexuals do die of AIDS. “I am upset because I have to wear rubbers because of AIDS,” he says. Well, don’t be upset, Sam. You don’t have to wear rubbers. Then we’ll see just how unimportant medical accuracy really is.
