Texas Death Row inmate David Harris admitted to a state district judge that he killed a Dallas police officer 12 years ago, not Randall Dale Adams, who is serving a life sentence for the crime. “I’m responsible for a grave injustice,” he said. The case was the subject of the film “The Thin Blue Line,” a documentary released earlier this year that questioned Adams’ conviction. The startling testimony came at a hearing before State District Judge Larry Baraka, who is weighing whether the 40-year-old Adams should be granted a new trial on the basis of new evidence.
