Joe Schoenfeld, 81, former editor of Daily Variety and a William Morris Agency talent executive. Schoenfeld began his career with the Hearst newspapers in 1924 and 1944, then returned to Variety as editor in 1950. Schoenfeld remained on the job for a decade, then returned to William Morris as senior executive of the agency’s worldwide motion picture department. Nov. 22 of heart failure at his Bel-Air home.
