Top-seeded Jose Luis Noriega, a freshman at the University of San Diego, defeated USD teammate Mark Farren, 6-3, 6-4, to win the 11th San Diego All-College tennis tournament at USD.
Noriega, from Lima, Peru, did not lose a set in singles play and teamed with David Stewart to win the doubles competition. Noriega-Stewart beat Joe McDonough and Woody Yocom of San Diego State, 6-3, 6-1.
For Stewart, a senior, it was his fourth trip to the doubles finals, and his third victory.
