And then there are the wacky goings-on involving actor Dennis Quaid and rock legend Jerry Lee Lewis. Quaid, who’s playing Lewis in a film about the singer-pianist, has had less than completely cordial relations with Lewis, and the two have reportedly tussled over the rights to perform on the sound track of the film, titled “Great Balls of Fire.” But late Sunday night, Quaid popped up at a nightclub in Memphis, Tenn.--where the film is being finished up--to join Lewis for a set of Lewis tunes and other songs. Gushed Quaid at one point: “Jerry Lee is my hero . . . there is only one Jerry Lee.”
