U.S. Relations With Nicaragua
Apparently some people need shock treatment before realizing the consequences of an idea. For decades, immigrants spoke with their feet by fleeing from foreign dictatorships. Now we see that the “Nicaraguans (are) leaving in droves as economy sinks.” As with all dictatorships, the government’s next move will be, in some form, the creation of a Central American Berlin Wall.
All those who supported Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega or opposed Contra aid share the guilt of another totalitarian catastrophe.
