Largemouth Bass, Catfish Catches Tops at Vail Lake

Largemouth bass and catfish, species that generally become less active as winter approaches, are still providing plenty of action for fishermen at Vail Lake in Riverside County.

Otis Kirkpatrick of San Diego caught an 11-pound 11-ounce bass, and Jesse Jones of Los Angeles caught a 22-pound 8-ounce catfish.
