Stanton R. Cook, 63, currently Tribune Co. president and chief executive, will become chairman and CEO. He will remain publisher of the Chicago Tribune. Charles T. Brumback, 60, will become president and chief operating officer of Tribune Co. Since 1981, he has been president and chief executive of Chicago Tribune Co., the operating company which produces and distributes the Chicago Tribune.
