Irate Judge Delays Kimball Sentence

An angry district judge delayed sentencing Bruce Kimball on a misdemeanor charge after learning that the troubled diver did not show up for a background check as previously ordered.

The 25-year-old Kimball, who also faces manslaughter charges in connection with a Florida auto accident, has pleaded guilty to tossing an apple and a plastic lemon at police officers in Ann Arbor after the Michigan-Illinois football game Nov. 12.

The one-time University of Michigan sports star admitted in court to getting “carried away” at the game.

Kimball is free on $100,000 bond after pleading not guilty in the Florida accident.
