China Wins Textile Quota Increases From EC

BRUSSELS —
China and the European Community have tentatively agreed to a new four-year textile agreement with big quota increases to improve China’s access to the EC market, the EC executive commission said.
The accord was initialed Friday and will replace the present agreement which expires at the end of this year, a statement from the commission said.
