‘Discovering’ Sports

The article never addressed the real story, which is why the CDC is spending precious federal funds that could be used on research or drugs for people with AIDS to fund a superfluous recreational program, when a plethora of recreational organizations are already well-established within the lesbian and gay community.

The article further perpetuates negative stereotyping about our community with such statements as “homosexual men with low self-esteem are more likely than others to engage in (unsafe) sexual activities.” Is this statement only true of gays?
