Reagan Library

Ronald Reagan, by scaling back the size of his presidential library and applying the resulting savings to its yearly maintenance, could put into practice what he has been preaching: less government spending and more participation by the private sector.

The presidential library could be quite modest. After all, how much room would he need for a bottle of red ink, some 3 x 5 cards, a jar of jelly beans, a Bible and cake, the book that he has read and a borrowed dress?

As for his papers, they could be housed at another location, completely detached. It would be only fitting.
