Radioactive gas escaped for about 10 minutes from the Connecticut Yankee nuclear generator near Haddam, Conn., but no one was injured and there was no danger to the public, a spokeswoman said. Barbara Luce of Northeast Utilities said the xenon-krypton leak occurred while technicians were taking a test sampling, but normal plant operations continued. She said the escaped vapor was measured at 2 one-hundredths of a millirem, a unit of radiation exposure.
