World : China Retaliates on Envoy Curb
China said today that Washington is unreasonably restricting the activities of its diplomats in the United States and that it has been forced to retaliate.
“The United States has imposed restrictions on the travel of diplomats in China’s consulates in that country,” a Foreign Ministry spokesman said. U.S. officials in Beijing said curbs were imposed on travel of diplomats at China’s consulate in Chicago in October in retaliation for similar curbs on U.S. officials in Shenyang.
