Ban Against American Beef in Europe

Share

The trade conflict with Europe over beef grown with hormones may have more serious repercussions on our future relations with Europe than people realize; the United States may have chosen the wrong issue.

As a general rule, it is always wise to at least look at things from the points of view of the others before making a decision. The question which gives rise to is this: How would we Americans feel if Europe tried to force us to accept a European product which we believed was harmful to our health? Might we, for example, feel that governments which tried to damage our health were less than friendly?
