Local News in Brief : School Officials Irked by Renewed Bus Woes
Santa Clarita school officials said Tuesday that they were disappointed to learn that bus service supplied by Laidlaw Transit had fallen once again to dismal levels.
Trustees of the William S. Hart Union High School District said the decline in service was particularly annoying because in November and December, Laidlaw eliminated most of the scheduling and staff problems that had plagued the company’s operations in the fall.
Buses had been late and bus drivers were unfamiliar with their routes, school officials said.
Trustees were told that the problems resumed when the winter break ended Jan. 3.
A Laidlaw representative pledged to solve the problems.
