South Korean President Roh Tae Woo said he wants to meet soon with North Korean leader Kim Il Sung to end 40 years of enmity between the two nations. Top leaders of north and south have never met. The north has agreed to the south’s proposal for political and military talks by the two prime ministers, and Roh said at a news conference that he wants summit talks, too. Meanwhile, senior American and South and North Korean military officers discussed what officials in Seoul said was a possible agenda for reducing tensions along the border.
