In a letter (Jan. 9), Woodrow J. Hughes sketched the global need to stop and reverse population growth. He finished off by saying, “ . . . You can have quality of life or quantity of life, not both.”
This 12-word summary of the great problem of the human race took my breath away. It should be written in letters of fire on the sky.
