Syncor Cites Labor Costs in Drop Over Previous Year

Syncor International, citing higher labor costs, said it earned $56,000, or less than one cent a share, in the second quarter that ended Nov. 30, down 95% from $1.1 million, or 10 cents a share, earned in the year-earlier period.
The Chatsworth company, which operates 83 nuclear pharmacies, said sales rose 7% in the quarter to $27.4 million.
For the six months, Syncor’s profit plunged to $151,000, or 2 cents a share, from $2.1 million, or 19 cents a share, a year earlier. Sales increased nearly 7% to $54.5 million.
