Unisys Corp.’s 1988 earnings rose 17.8% to $680.6 million on revenue of $9.9 billion, up 2% from 1987. Results were reduced by a charge of about $20 million before taxes to cover the anticipated costs of restructuring various domestic product and marketing operations, the Detroit computer maker said. Unysis also said lower tax rates positively affected its results.
