Santa Fe Springs : Student Newspaper Editor Attends Inauguration

A Santa Fe High School senior was among 360 students from across the nation who attended the inauguration of President George Bush. Josephine Navarro, 16, of Norwalk, was representing the Congressional Youth Leadership Council, an organization sponsored by members of Congress.
Navarro is editor of the Santa Fe student newspaper, president of Future Leaders Club, secretary of the Key Club and a member of the tennis team. The first Santa Fe High student to attend a presidential inauguration through the Leadership Council, Navarro was nominated for the honor by Principal Thelma Montgomery. Santa Fe High is part of the Whittier Union High School District.
