The leaders of Cambodia and Thailand met in Bangkok in a new step in diplomatic efforts to end the 10-year-old Cambodian conflict. Government sources in the Thai capital reported little progress toward a settlement in the talks between Thai Prime Minister Chatichai Choonhavan and Cambodian Premier Hun Sen. Guerrillas battling Hun Sen’s Hanoi-backed regime operate from the Thai-Cambodian border area, and Thailand is the route through which Chinese weapons reach the guerrillas.
