WORLD : Kadafi Raps Reagan, Praises Bush

NEW YORK — Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi criticized former President Reagan in a television interview to be aired tonight and said that he has never had direct contact with any American administration and that he would like to open a dialogue during the Bush presidency.
He called Bush “a man who is completely different from Reagan. He’s a politician, a factual man, a practical . . . (man). Reagan used to treat the presidency as a theater where he performs his acts.” Kadafi spoke through an interpreter during the interview with Barbara Walters, which was conducted Monday in a tent in Kadafi’s compound in Tripoli.
