Christopher Mathe has resigned as head of Micro D’s technical products division to become vice president and chief operating officer of Interconnect Data Systems, the Anaheim publisher of a computer hardware and software database. Micro D-a Santa Ana distributor of microcomputer hardware and software-agreed a week ago to a takeover bid by Ingram Industries, a privately held conglomerate in Nashville Tenn. Ingram is paying $14.75 a share, or $43.9 million, for the 41% of Micro D8s stock it did not already own. Mathe, 35, said his resignation was not linked to the buyout. “ It really had nothing to do with the takeover bid,” he said. “ The potential for me at Interconnect is much greater that it was at Micro D. I got some ownership here”
