The vice president of Faulkner Co., Stephen F. Valenziano, has been elected 1989 president of the Technology Corridor Assn. (TCA). In his new position, he will continue TCA’s focus on attracting quality, clean-air companies to the corridor along the Ventura (101) freeway, running from Woodland Hills to Newbury Park. Its programs for 1989 include: Conference on Techology Transfer, the formation of the Technology Corridor “100”, and its second Executive Briefing and tour. TCA is based in Calabasas.

Coldwell Banker of Los Angeles has created a new management post, executive vice president for its real estate finance services. Timothy N. Stevens has been appointed to oversee the activities of 18 company offices across the country. Stevens is also president of the Southern California Mortgage Bankers Assn..

Claudia Troisi of the San Diego-based firm, The Baldwin Co., moved up to senior vice president and project manager for the 19,600-acre Otay Ranch. Her main responsibilites will be the financing and development of the acreage where a fully faceted “new town” is planned to rise well into the next century.

Homart Development Co. of Chicago, Ill., has named Richard A. Moses its vice president-regional mall development, western region. Based at Homart’s Los Angeles office, Moses will be in charge of the design, construction, and major tenant agreements for the company’s mall projects in the western United States. Homart was founded by Sears, Roebuck and Co. and is a member of the Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group.

Prof. John Friedmann of UCLA received double honors: the Distinguished Planning Educator Award, conferred by the Assn. of Collegiate Schools of Planning, and an honorary doctorate from the University of Dortmund in West Germany, given by the university’s Institute of Planning.

The president-elect of the Los Angeles chapter of Certified Commercial-Investment Members is Ben Cheng, broker-owner of California Real Estate Professionals Inc. of San Gabriel. He will become president in 1990.

Senior sales executive with Scher-Voit Commercial Brokerage, Diane Miramontes, has been elected president of Women in Commercial Real Estate for 1989. Most recently, she served as first vice president.

The North Hollywood firm of D&S; Development Corp. has named Gary Okonowsky as corporate controller. He will be coordinating the company’s financial statements, budgeting and planning.

Christie Starr has been promoted to project manager at the Riverside office of Fuscoe, Williams, Lindgren & Short, Inc., a civil engineering and surveying firm.

Richardson Nagy Martin, headquartered in Newport Beach, has made two new appointments: Mark Nelson to the position of associate, production development department at its home office, supervising computer drafting and its implementation in the Southwest; and, Robert Wilhelm as director of design at the Boca Raton, Fla., office, managing the firm’s business development throughout the Southeast.

A Costa Mesa developer, WSLA Development, has named Charleen Hannah as director of marketing. All marketing activities for the master-planned communities of Sierra del Oro in Corona and Rancho San Clemente, the Coral Ridge condominium project in San Diego, Mountain Meadows homes in Pomona, and the Pacific Golf Club in Rancho San Clemente will come under her direction.
