Local : Don Johnson Curbs Bel-Air Vice

Actor Don Johnson, who plays a detective in the “Miami Vice” television series, subdued a burglar in a room in the posh Bel-Air Hotel where he and his fiancee, actress Melanie Griffith, were staying, police said today.
When Johnson and Griffith entered the room shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday, they discovered a man rifling through her purse, which contained expensive jewelry, Sgt. Clayton Mayes said. Johnson, 39, held the man until hotel security could arrive, Mayes said. The intruder, identified by police as David Johnson, 34, no relation to the actor, was later booked on suspicion of burglary.
