Deputy Defense Minister Stane Brovet of Yugoslavia issued a fresh warning to the nation’s divided rulers, who have continued feuding despite an army threat that it may step in to crush factional rivalry. “The elementary order which must exist in every state is being threatened,” Brovet told the Communist Party’s Central Committee, meeting for a second day in Belgrade. He criticized the wave of ethnic and labor unrest of the past year, saying it was manipulated by forces keen to “overthrow Yugoslavia.”
