W.R. Grace & Co.’s 1988 net income rose 35% to $233.6 million on revenue of $5.79 billion, a gain of 28%. Fourth-quarter net income rose 51% to $75.5 million from a year ago. Revenue climbed 26.6% to $1.65 billion. The New York-based holding company said it was helped by strong performances in all four of its core units, which include chemicals, energy, health care and specialty businesses such as cocoa processing and software distribution.
