‘Letter’ to Ex-President Praised for Its Honesty

“Welcome Reagans to a Sadder City” says it all.

After all the self-congratulatory speeches before he left Washington, the country and the cities now will have to deal with and pay the costs of the consequences of his misguided fixations.

The letter unfortunately will be perceived by the addressee with the same mentality and thought processes as the comment he made that the homeless sleeping on the streets are there by choice.

For someone who sees the “shining city on the hill,” the windows of the stretch limo that he’ll ride in will not only be smoked but will be rose-colored glass as well. Let ‘em eat cake.
