Buenos Aires No Longer in Dark as Power Crisis Eases
After five weeks of power blackouts of up to six hours a day, Buenos Aires residents were told Sunday that they can again use electricity around the clock--at least until Thursday.

Officials, saying the electricity shortage was still acute, complained that some consumers were already returning to wasteful habits and that some shop owners were violating a ban on lighting their windows.
The crisis was caused by a drought that lowered water levels at hydroelectric dams.
