World : Guerrilla Rocket Kills 7 in Kabul

Muslim guerrillas fired a rocket into a crowded Kabul neighborhood today that killed seven people and wounded 21, state television reported.

The television said the rocket landed near a line of people waiting for a bus near the Mikrorazon district, where senior government officials live. The victims included people waiting at a distribution center for scarce flour and cooking oil, witnesses said. Guerrillas have surrounded Kabul and attacked supply convoys, creating severe food and fuel shortages, but have fired few rockets into the city as the Feb. 15 deadline nears for withdrawal of all Soviet military forces.
