Clyde Lane has been appointed president of the new Urban Division of Kaufman and Broad Home Corp., to be based in Los Angeles. Lane has more than 22 years of experience in diversified real estate development and joined the firm in 1981 as director of forward planning. In 1984 he became president of Kaufman and Broad Land Co., overseeing all land acquisitions throughout Southern California.

Dave Eadie has been named president and chief operating officer of Cayman Development Co., succeeding Ray J. Rutter who will assume the position of chairman and chief executive officer of the Irvine-based company. Eadie will oversee administrative, financial and construction activities of the firm.

Elizabeth St. James has been appointed vice president of Gans Securities Corp., a real estate investment firm. Before joining the firm, St. James served as chief of operations for Lloyd Ogilvie Ministries Inc. She is also the owner of St. James Consultants Inc., a business and career management consulting firm established in 1981.

Ralph Zorn, owner of the Blue Fountain Mobilehome Park in San Jacinto, has been honored with the Willard Carr Memorial award and named the Western Mobilehome Assn. Man of the Year for 1988. Zorn served on the WMA board of directors and as president of the local unit of the Hemet/San Jacinto area, and worked on the drafting of State Title 25, which governs the planning of mobilehome parks in California.

Wahid Shah of Los Angeles has been awarded the professional real estate appraisal designation (AAR) by the Accredited Review Appraisers Council.

Ed Brehm has been promoted to construction superintendent by Watt Homes Inc., Torrance. Brehm will oversee the construction of the new townouse community of Chatelaine in Torrance’s master-planned Park Del Amo.

Steven McCormick has been named an associate of Richardson Nagy Martin, a Newport Beach planning and architectural firm. His responsibilities will include project representation at various phases of development.

SGPA/Architecture and Planning, San Diego, has announced four appointments to senior associate positions. Appointees are Randall A. Bohl, Michael Harlock, Stephen H. Wright and Robert H. Challen. Bohl previously served as principal-in-charge of the Millard Archuleta Bakersfield office; Harlock was an associate and studio director for Whistler Patri Architects of San Francisco and a senior planner for the city of Novato; Wright rejoined SGPA in 1986 and was appointed an associate in 1987; Callen joined SGPA in 1987 as a controller and was named business associate later that year.

James P. Gade has been appointed regional vice president of Union Pacific Realty Co. and will head the Ontario office that is responsible for most of the firm’s land and building development in Southern California and Southern Nevada.

Amir K. Ilkhanipour has been promoted to project manager at Fuscoe, Williams, Lindgren & Short Inc., Santa Ana. He has five years of civil engineering experience and has specialized in the areas of storm control and storm drain design. Michael Brant has also been promoted to project manager and is experienced in civil engineering design for residential and commercial projects.

Mark P. Molepske has joined Wells Fargo Realty Finance of Santa Monica as assistant vice president. He previously served as a production/development analyst for the real estate investment office of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., Los Angeles.

Curt Stephenson has been named vice president in charge of commercial/industrial for EastLake Development Co., Chula Vista.

Paul Watson has joined Koss Real Estate Investments, Los Angeles, as leasing director; he worked for Trammel Crow Co. as leasing and tenant improvement supervisor. Lee R. Ulansey, formerly with the Center Cos., joined the firm as general property manager.

Steven N. Eyler has been appointed vice president/project manager for Langdon/Rieder, Century City. Prior to joining the firm, he was with the corporate relocation services division of the Johnston Group, where he served as a real estate consultant.

The board of directors of All Cities Escrow, Placentia, has appointed Warren D. Vaughn a principal in the firm. He will serve as the company’s vice president and general manager.

Won K. Kim has been named a project architect by CHCG Architects, Los Angeles and Montclair. A licensed architect both in the United States and in Korea, Kim has extensive experience in planning and design of large-scale projects.

Wayne Avrashow has been named to manage the Southern California division of Calprop Corp., a Marina del Rey real estate development company. Wayne, who is responsible for profit and loss of the division, most recently served with the residential development firm of D & S Co.

Charles Balber has joined the interior planning and design firm of Stewart/Romberger & Associates, as senior project designer. Projects under his direction will include the new offices for Western Federal Savings and Stewart Title.

Howard Kurushima has been named associate principal of RTKL Associates Inc., Los Angeles. He has been a project manager for numerous projects, including the California Plaza Development in downtown Los Angeles and the renovation of Royce Hall at UCLA.

Harold C. Rose, a senior real estate officer in the Los Angeles office of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Finance Services, has been elected a vice president of the firm. He joined the company in 1985.

O’Donnell, Armstrong & Partners, Irvine, has named Michael Smith as coordinator for the firm’s Irvine Spectrum projects.

Alan S. Duncan, vice president of Daniel, Mann, Johnson & Mendenhall, has been promoted to director of corporate programs.

Marlborough Development Corp. has named Marc Simmons as director of marketing and sales for its new Southeastern Region, Rancho California.

Neil Breen has been named managing director of Design I’s nationwide hospitality, commercial and corporate design divisions. The firm is based in Century City.

George Smith/Grubb & Ellis Financial Services has promoted Cherie Lebrun-Weismantel to marketing director of public relations and advertising.

Anaheim-based TRW Inc. has announced changes in top posts: Mike Henney, was appointed general manager and David Henry, was promoted to Southern California general manager of its newly organized Title Information Services operating unit; Edwin P. Setzer was named vice president and general manager and Jerry Hoerauf appointed general manager, document data services, both of TRW’s Real Estate Information Services.

Bakersfield Central District Development Agency has announced the election of Diane Dunn as the agency’s new chair. William Paynter will be vice chair.

Eugene H. Moriarty, general manager of Segerstrom Center, has been elected secretary-treasure of the Building Owners and Managers Institute International.
