A Puerto Rican bank has agreed to plead guilty to currency-reporting violations, to pay $2 million in fines and civil penalties, and to cooperate with a federal money-laundering investigation. In the agreement, filed in U.S. District Court in Puerto Rico last Thursday, Ponce Federal Bank agreed to plead guilty to five violations of failing to report currency transactions exceeding $10,000.
