Jon Edelman and Bernhard F. Manko pleaded innocent to a massive tax fraud scam in which they allegedly faked more than $38 billion in trades in U.S. government securities. Edelman, 43, of Rye, N.Y., and Manko, 48, of Lighthouse Point, Fla., were released on $500,000 bonds after appearing before U.S. Magistrate Leonard Bernikow. Edelman is the brother of prominent Wall Street takeover strategist Asher B. Edelman, who was not implicated in the alleged scheme.
